The Appin Banner

The Appin Banner rescued by Donald Livingstone at the battle of Culloden has been kept for many years at Edinburgh Castle. Grave of Donald Livingstone and his family.  Cick to see a larger version Donald Livingstone is buried at Kiel in Morvern overlooking the Sound of Mull. He rests with his parents John Livingstone and Anna MacInnes and his wife Kate MacInnes of Morvern.

American members of The Clan MacInnes Society laid a wreath on Donald and his kinsfolk's grave when they visited Scotland in the Summer of 1997.

The gravestone incorporates some very interesting heraldic symbols for the Livingstones and the MacInnesess.
