Clan Maclaine of Lochbuie
Clan Objectives:
- To promote knowledge of the Clan history, and Scottish history and customs.
- To promote, preserve, and provide a place of safekeeping for artifacts, manuscripts, and other items, documents, and/or literature pertaining to the Clan.
- To publish a newsletter, 'The Battleaxe', three times a year to provide members with information and a forum to communicate with other members.
- To preserve and protect, to the best of our means, Moy Castle, and the Lochbuie area on the Isle of Mull in Scotland.
- To promote fellowship among Clan members and all peoples at various Scottish Games, Festivals, and other functions.
Who May Join?
Anyone named or descended from the Maclaine/MacLean family, any of the Sept families, or anyone who is interested in Scottish heritage and culture. We hope you will send a note to any of our Contact Names . We enjoy hearing from you and REALLY want your input.

Membership dues:
PLEASE NOTE that the newsletter is by snail-mail, and it is NOT necessary to get the newsletter to be a part of the clan. We LOVE hearing from other members of the clan and welcome any and all supporters of Lochbuie. Any submissions or information you wish to contribute (even if it is just a "hello") can be sent to any of the Contact Names
This association and newsletter is not run for profit. Prices per membership/newsletter are $15.00 (U.S.) per calendar year (Jan.-Dec.) for members in the continental U.S.A. For members outside the continental U.S. (for example, Canada or Australia), the dues are $20.00 (U.S.) per calendar year (or $25.00 Canadian). After September 30, dues are reduced by $5.00 U.S. ($7.50 Canadian) for each category. A portion of your dues will be placed into a fund to establish a future Clan Centre at Lochbuie. Please send completed form with your cheque or money order made out to 'Clan Maclaine of Lochbuie'
